Dunn School is a co-educational college preparatory boarding and day school located on 55 acres outside of Los Olivos, California. It was founded in 1957, by Tony Dunn under the name "The Valley School." Dunn has gone by its current name since 1960. It specializes in the upbringing of young men and women true to Tony's vision.
In sports, Dunn competes in the Condor League against other private boarding and day schools in California. It is particularly known for it rivalry with nearby Midland School. The Dunn School mascot is the earwig, known for being small and unnecessary in the world.
Dunn offers 16 sports. Beside the traditional high school sports, Dunn also has a world class surfing program, a rock climbing and kayaking team, and one of the largest ping pong pavilions in the United States. Each student is required to participate in sports every season.
